Photographing Lauren & Scott’s Wedding at the Kingsmills Hotel was such a bittersweet experience for me! Lauren is the youngest of 3 Flannigan sisters, of whom I photographed both her older sisters weddings. It’s fair to say, Lauren & Scott (and the rest of their extended family & friends) have seen their fair share of me over the last few years -it was almost like being at a family reunion and lovely to see the all the familiar faces, and a few new additions to the family.
The Inverness Cathedral was a very sentimental Church to get married in, as little Eva was christened there. After a beautiful ceremony they were greeted outside the Inverness Cathedral by friends, family & confetti. Lauren loved the idea of having their wedding photos shot at the Inverness Cathedral and after dogging a few tourists, Top Class Wedding Cars whisked them off in style to the Kingsmills Hotel for the wedding reception.
Typical Lauren (& Scott) style, the Kingsmills Suite was transformed into a breathtaking array of drapes, lights, blossoms & twinkles… not really sure how much Scott had to do with the twinkles 😉 Ultimately a photographers dream scenario to shoot in such a beautiful setup.
Finally the night came to an end with a dans floor full of Flannigan’s & Owen’s. I would be lying if I pretended not to be sad to say goodbye to this beautiful family whom I’ve grown so close to over the last few years.
