As a married couple, celebrating a renewal of your love and commitment for each other is a very special occasion! Ana Cristina Cash & John Carter Cash have been married for 2 years and lives in the United States of America with their beautiful baby girl. They decided to to create an extension of their vows at Glenfinnan House Hotel, a place that they feel very spiritually connected to.
Scottish Tradition Bearer, Scot AnSgeulaiche, led the handfasting ceremony, surrounded by Ana & John’s close friends & family. I think John’s parents, Johnny Cash and June Carter looked down on them and smiled, as Ana & John were blessed with a beautiful sunny autumn day in Glenfinnan (a very rare phenomena for those wondering). The weather held out just long enough for them to do a handfasting and “jump the broom”, after which Sandy the Highland Piper, swiftly piped guest back into Glenfinnan House Hotel for some traditional Scottish Food.
It was great working with Ana & John and getting to know them a bit better on a personal level. Ana is this beautiful, soft spoken woman with an amazing voice and John, whilst having a very serious look about him, he’s actually a very kind individual and a great story teller. Every time I asked a questions, we had to pause for a few minutes whilst John tell us the most amazing story about whatever you just asked him. I could have listened to John’s stories all day long, but we had some photos to get done, and the light in Glenfinnan does not wait for anyone. We manage to catch the last few rays of sunshine hitting the mountains across Loch Shiel which was the prefect ending to a beautiful day.
