April & Raymond’s Wedding: 7 June 2019.

I’ve lost count of how many wedding I’ve shot over the years, but can with certainly say this was one of the most emotional weddings I’ve ever had to shoot! Weddings are definitely unpredictable and when April & Raymond gathered at the Drumossie Hotel to start their married life surrounded by family & friends, little did they know what a rollercoaster of emotions this day will be.

On the morning of this highland wedding, April’s mom fell seriously ill and got rushed off to hospital. With the uncertainty if the wedding would go ahead, every family member, friend & supplier pulled together to form a strong support system for April & Raymond, who in turn, showed the true strength of their relationship.

With the wedding delayed, we had to think on our feet… as a distraction, we took the couple outside to do bridal party shots and a few creatives before the ceremony. Hats off to them for being so determined to get stunning photos.. smoke bombs & confetti bombs certainly lifted spirits.

April’s dad returned from hospital to walk his daughter down the aisle, where their Minister, Michael Gaunt delivered a touching wedding ceremony.

Despite everything that happened, April & Raymond had a beautiful wedding day. From my side, thanks to all the wedding suppliers who pulled out all the stops. I want to wish April’s Mom, Nina, a speedy recovery.
