Thrilled to bits that Captivating Photography was nominated as a finalist for Photographer of the Year in the Northern Region at the Scottish Wedding Awards 2016.
The Scottish Wedding Awards recognises suppliers in Scotland’s wedding industry as voted by the customer and aim to reward excellence in all aspects of business practice of those within the wedding industry that work towards making clients’ special day perfect.
The winners were announced at the glittering awards ceremony on 29 February 2016 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow. Congratulations to all our fellow suppliers and friends who won in their categories. A big shout out to Andy Taylor who won the overall Photographer category and Gillian Hoban who won the Makeup Specialist for the Northern region! Congrats to you both, a well deserved win.
Having attended the Awards for a 2nd year in a row, we had a super night with our dear friends, Spud the Piper, George from Top Class, Lorna from Highland Castle Weddings by Oxox Events, Andy & his wife Paula from Andy Taylor Photography, and Phil from Solar Weddings. (Steve from Wonderland unfortunately could not make it due to prior commitments, we definitely missed Steve & Catherine).
Much to my surprise, both Phil and Spud had some impressive dance moves up their sleeves and boogied into the early hours of the morning. I’m well impressed guys! Slightly less impressed that Phil and Chris managed to swop jackets and only realised it after Phil went home. According to these two it’s apparently an easy mistake to make…. mmm…
Thanks to Andy from Andy Taylor Photography for the great shots of me and Chris! Definitely framing these.

Me and Spud are now in the line up for Strictly Come dancing 🙂 Fantastic Blog Charne thanks for sharing. Phil (Solar Weddings)
Well, nothing wrong with your rumba skills, but the ballroom needs a bit of work 😉 I hope you warned Spud…
